斯科特·约翰斯顿 returns to Sherman High School as principal in the 2023-24 school year. Previously, he served as principal at Sherman Middle School. Prior to SMS, Johnston spent two years as the principal of S&S高中, and before that he served as an assistant principal at Sherman High School for two years, and assistant principal for the district’s alternative high school programs for two years. 

Johnston brings a total of 24 years of experience in education. He has served a diverse array of campuses and communities, including Lancaster High School, Grand Prairie High School, Dowell Middle School in McKinney ISD, 和乔·K. Bryant Elementary School in Anna. 

Johnston earned his master’s degree in education administration from Lamar University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. He lives in Sherman with his wife, Karis, and four children: Kaidyn, Sterrett, Jace, and Bryn.

Sherman High School offers courses and programs that prepare students for post-high school graduation success. The school prides itself on building Bearcats beyond academics, offering 职业生涯 and Technical Education courses, 美术, 体育运动, and a variety of special interest clubs that range from Astronomy to Fashion Design.
